The numbers that matter
- Typical area
- 55–85 m² (600–900 sq ft); living room 18–26 m², bedrooms 9–14 m².
- Corridors
- 90 cm minimum; every metre of corridor is a metre not in a room, which is why open plans win space.
- Windows
- Bedrooms need about 10% of floor area as glazing for daylight; the studio shows each window's size.
- Second bedroom
- Under 9 m² it works better as an office; try both in the model.
