How to turn a floor plan into 3D for free

Every verified Kubikly account gets one complete generation free: upload a plan, get an editable 3D home, walk through it, and change it by talking for as long as you like. Here is the whole process and the exact boundary of “free”.

What you need

A floor plan as JPG, PNG or PDF, or a photo of a printed plan. Sketches work. If the plan has no scale, know one dimension: a room length, a door width.

Steps

  • Create an account and verify the email (this is what unlocks the free generation).
  • Drop the plan into the Architect studio; the AI extracts walls, rooms, doors, windows, stairs and fixtures.
  • Answer one question if scale is uncertain.
  • Explore: orbit, plan view, X-ray, day and night, walk mode at eye height.
  • Change things by talking: move walls, open the kitchen, change floors, close the curtains, restyle a room like a photo.

What is free

  • The first complete generation (analysis + 3D reconstruction) on the standard model
  • Every conversational edit, without limit
  • The live demos, without an account
  • Up to three private projects
  • The plan view, X-ray, night preview and walkthrough

What costs credits

Further generations (10 credits), the Elite model, photoreal renders (HD 3, 4K 8), exports (GLB 2, CAD 4) and jewellery appraisals (3). Prices are shown before you confirm, and unused credits do not expire.

Why one generation, not one hour

A generation is real work: a vision model reads the plan and a validated reconstruction turns it into geometry. Editing is cheap because it operates on the structure, not on pixels, so it is free. That is also why the model does not degrade with every change, which image-based tools do.

Exports cost credits; viewing, walking through and editing are free.
Is my plan private?
Yes. Projects are private unless you share a link, and demo projects are the only public ones.
